La Candelilla Estate in Costa Rica is a special place for coffee lovers. Located in the Tarrazú region, at 1200 meters above sea level in the Talamanca Mountains, this 80 hectare estate produces an exceptional coffee thanks to its volcanic soil and dry summers. This coffee is a blend of the Caturra and Catuai varieties grown on La Candelilla’s nine farms.
But what makes La Candelilla even more interesting is its production process; it is harvested and classified by hand and later processed using the honey method. The result is a robust coffee, with a velvety body and low acidity. Its flavor is characterized by notes of black tea, citrus and sweet aromas.
